The Birds and Bees and Rudy and Me

Its rainy and overcast today, time to continue documenting the adventure.  Please be patient through the educational portion of today’s entry and you will be well rewarded.

Return to Nature: Natchez Trace State Park, Henderson County, Tn

Brownie and I decided it was time to have a little fun.  Loaded up the truck, hooked up the trailer and headed for camp.  Yes, man and dog struggling to survive in a wilderness never before seen by man.

A dear friend of mine, LB is in a book club with Janet.  Janet asked that I take the book to LB.  LB is a bright young lawyer working at a premier Jackson law firm.

So far – Chuck is taking the book to LB at work.

Wind and Golf are 4-Letter Words

No, not like you wind a toy!  Wind as in moving air.

 

Wind farm near Oak Ridge.  Not sure how large these are, but we saw some in Colorado with blades of 120 feet.

Janet’s Power Trip

No, not that kind of “trip.”  The kind of trip where you go visit a new place.

Janet was in eastern Tennessee last week on a tour of energy facilities.  Very educational.  They were based in Oak Ridge.

Gotta love Robbie Bingham.  We loaded up the truck and drove over for her 80th birthday, 4/05.  Here are some pictures from the grand occasion (don’t be too critical of the outdoor pics, it was quite windy).

 

Dining Room Do-Over

Here are some pictures of our freshly decorated dining room:

Janet has excellent taste and is not scared to make a bold statement with color.  This is rather tame compared to our kitchen.

It has red walls with a golden ceiling, in a word “McDonalds.”  I call the walls whore house red.

Need to take Brownie for a walk – later.
